A powerful scripting language for the IBM i
The GENHTML command brings together the power of IBM i, Microsoft Windows, CoolSpools, NUTIL, HTML, QSH, Java Script , Google Charts, CGI and Python to provide a rich user experience by modernising the user interface.
Use GENHTML to:
- present IBM i business data in HTML tables, text, csv, pdf, excel and optionally attach documents to a CoolSpools HTML formatted email
- embed SQL statements inside the script (source member) to extract Business data and present as HTML tables or Charts.
- customise an email message using HTML and CSS
- create HTML pages with tables populated with Business Systems data
- create dashboards
- create google charts
- extract data using SQL and optionally display or export results in excel format
- extract data using SQL and optionally place results in IFS document (JSON data)The GENHTML command brings
- presents data in a WebApp
- extract and present data using the MSSQL SQL Server command interface
- GENHTML script members by default are stored in the source file NUTIL/HTMLTXT.
- GENHTML script members maintained by SEE/Change are stored in the source file QHTMLSRC.
